Automation blueprint

Test Automation Sprint
Build reliable automated checks around the journeys that matter. A maintainable starting suite, connected to your delivery pipeline and handed over to your team.
Teams ready to move beyond manual regression testing
Manual regression testing slows every release.
The existing automation is too fragile to trust.
Your pipeline cannot tell you whether a critical journey still works.
What you take away
The starting package covers one application and a prioritized set of journeys. We confirm the exact boundary together.
The agreed journeys, test levels, tooling, environments, and data approach.
Automated checks for the scoped journeys, with readable structure and reproducible test data.
A CI workflow with useful failure reports, artifacts, and an explicit quality gate.
Ownership guidance and a pairing session so your team can extend the suite.
A practical guide
Automation is useful when it gives a clear answer about behavior that matters. Start with a small set of valuable checks that run reliably. You can expand from that foundation once the team trusts the result and knows how to maintain it.
First, select a few journeys where a regression would hurt. Describe each as an observable outcome: an accepted order reserves stock, an unauthorized user cannot read a record, or an invalid measurement is rejected. Give each scenario realistic input and an expected result that someone can verify.
Decide where each check belongs. A calculation can usually be tested close to the business rule. A data exchange needs an integration check. A browser test should cover the journey through the interface. Choose the smallest useful boundary so failures remain quick to diagnose.
Create repeatable test data and isolate each test from the others. A run should not depend on yesterday’s records or another test having completed first. For integrations, distinguish controlled substitutes from checks against a real test service, and document what each type can prove.
Implement one complete scenario and run it repeatedly. Check the important result, including saved state or external effects where relevant. Investigate timing and data failures before adding more cases. If a test is unreliable, give its repair an owner instead of teaching the team to ignore it.
Add the stable checks to the delivery pipeline and make failures visible. Preserve the information needed to diagnose them. Agree who updates the tests when requirements change, then extend coverage according to risk. A small maintained suite is a foundation the team can grow.
Our plan uses our experience with .NET business rules, web applications, and workflows that cross system boundaries. We work from concrete acceptance examples and separate the domain logic from infrastructure where that makes testing clearer. This also exposes assumptions that would otherwise remain hidden inside a long interface test.
We deliver a prioritized slice of automation with repeatable setup, useful failure output, and a documented way to run it. We review the tests with the people who will maintain them. The final discussion covers protected behavior, remaining gaps, and the cost of keeping the suite reliable.
xUnit and the application’s existing .NET testing tools cover rules and service behavior. Playwright handles selected browser journeys. GitHub Actions or the team’s existing pipeline runs the agreed checks and keeps the results available for review. We select the tools to fit the application’s actual boundaries.
SDD, Specs Driven Development, connects requirements and acceptance criteria to the automated and manual tests that cover them. We use those links to explain why a test exists, what a failed run affects, and which important behavior still needs evidence.

A few useful answers
Yes. We assess what you already use before suggesting changes. Depending on the application, we can work with Playwright, API tests, or .NET test frameworks.
The indicative estimate starts at €7,500, excluding VAT, for the stated package boundary. After a fit conversation, you receive a fixed quote with the exact deliverables, fee, and schedule. Work starts after acceptance; changes are quoted separately.
You receive the working files, findings, and a handover session. Your team can take the next steps, or we can scope a follow-on engagement together.
