Cloud Migration Sprint

Move one workload with a plan.

Migrate a bounded application workload to Azure, containers, or an agreed hybrid setup. Build the deployment path, verify the result, and document recovery.

Teams moving an existing business application to a new hosting platform

Sound familiar?

Hosting is becoming a maintenance problem.

A cloud move has no tested cutover or recovery plan.

You need a practical path between Azure and existing infrastructure.

What you take away

Deliverables you
can actually use.

The starting package covers one application workload and an agreed target environment. We confirm the exact boundary together.

01

Migration design

A dependency map, target configuration, operating constraints, and acceptance criteria.

02

Target deployment

The agreed application deployment, configuration, and repeatable build or release instructions.

03

Verification run

Checks of key behavior, connectivity, and performance against the agreed baseline.

04

Cutover and handover

A staged move, rollback procedure, and operating documentation for your team.

A practical guide

Move one workload with a clear acceptance plan.

Moving an application changes more than the place its code runs. Configuration, identities, data, network access, and support routines all matter. Begin with one workload and make those dependencies visible before choosing the target arrangement.

How to do it yourself

First, inventory how the application runs today. Include its runtime, database, storage, scheduled work, external connections, and required secrets. Identify local files or background processes that might otherwise be missed. Record the expected availability, performance, and recovery needs.

Choose the target by matching those needs to an operating model your team can support. Compare the relevant managed service, container, or hybrid options. Include ongoing cost and responsibility for backups, updates, and monitoring. Document why the selected option fits this workload.

Build a repeatable deployment into an isolated target environment. Supply configuration and secrets through the agreed mechanism, and check identities and network access. Keep the application artifact identifiable so the tested build can be followed through the move.

Run the same business scenarios on the current and target environments. Check data access, files, scheduled jobs, external calls, and the behavior under representative load. Test the recovery procedure as well as normal operation. Investigate differences before planning the final switch.

Set out the cutover sequence with the service owner. Define how current data reaches the target, how traffic changes, and when to stop or recover. After the move, compare the operating signals with the baseline and hand over the deployment and support instructions.

How we approach the work

Our experience spans .NET applications, Azure services, containers, SQL, and integrations with existing systems. We examine the application’s actual dependencies before proposing a hosting change. Scientific, industrial, and everyday business workloads can have different constraints even when they use similar technology.

We design the bounded move, establish the target deployment, and verify the agreed workflows before cutover. Our plan connects the hosting decision to the people who will operate it. The handover includes the release procedure, observed results, remaining assumptions, and recovery steps.

The tools behind the work

Azure application, storage, and database services are options where they fit the workload; Docker supports a reproducible container package where that model is appropriate. GitHub Actions or the existing pipeline can coordinate deployment. Azure Monitor or the existing monitoring platform helps compare the service before and after the move.

We use SDD, Specs Driven Development, to connect the migration objectives, target design, implementation tasks, and acceptance evidence. This keeps a hosting decision tied to the business behavior and operating constraints it is meant to support.

What we need
from your team.

  • Application build and deployment access
  • A funded target hosting account
  • A technical owner and agreed maintenance constraints

A few useful answers

Before we start.

Can you assess the target before we commit?

Yes. If the destination is still uncertain, the Cloud Cost & Performance Audit or a short discovery scope is a better first step. The migration sprint begins once the target and boundary are clear.

How is the engagement priced?

The indicative estimate starts at €9,500, excluding VAT, for the stated package boundary. After a fit conversation, you receive a fixed quote with the exact deliverables, fee, and schedule. Work starts after acceptance; changes are quoted separately.

What happens after delivery?

You receive the working files, findings, and a handover session. Your team can take the next steps, or we can scope a follow-on engagement together.
